Return an item with a Klarna payment

With any purchase, there’s always a chance that the customer might need to return the items – maybe they grabbed the wrong size or style, or ended up with duplicate birthday gifts. You never know!

Luckily, it’s easy to process a return in Ascend for an item that was bought with Klarna financing. The customer just needs their receipt; if they don’t have it, start by reprinting the receipt for them.

1.      Create a return using either the Return button on the transaction toolbar or the Return icon on the Desktop.

2.      On the Previous Sales Item dialog box, scan or enter the original transaction’s barcode.

3.      Select the items being returned and click the Add button.

4.      On the Initiate Klarna Refund prompt, click the Yes button.

5.      On the Return Request Processed prompt, click the OK button.

6.      On the Payments toolbar, click the Klarna button.

Pro tip: If you have a large number of payment types, you may need to click the >> button to view more types.

7.      Complete the return as normal.
